Niotche Creek Trailhead is situated within Fishlake National Forest in Sevier County, Utah, at an elevation exceeding 8,900 feet. This trailhead provides access to the Great Western Trail and is equipped with amenities such as a gravel parking lot, corrals, a hitching rail, an information kiosk, and a vault restroom. Visitors can engage in various activities, including horseback riding, hiking, hunting, wildlife viewing, and 50-inch ATV riding on designated routes.
To reach Niotche Creek Trailhead from Salina, Utah, head south on State Street for approximately 2 miles to I-70. Merge onto I-70 eastbound and continue for about 6.5 miles. Take Exit 63 for Gooseberry Road, then turn right (south) onto Gooseberry Road (County Road #640) and drive for approximately 13.3 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 287 and proceed for 0.3 miles to arrive at the trailhead. Please note that there is no water available on-site, so plan accordingly.
