Access:
To reach Gates Lake from Salina, Utah:
1.Head south on State Street for approximately 2 miles to reach I-70.
2.Merge onto I-70 eastbound and continue for about 6.5 miles.
3.Take Exit 63 for Gooseberry Road, then turn right (south) onto Gooseberry Road (County Road #640) and drive for approximately 18.4 miles.
4.Turn right onto Forest Road 040 and proceed for 2.4 miles to arrive at the lake.
Please note that the road to Gates Lake (FR040) can be rough and is not recommended for trailers. Additionally, there is no water available on-site, so visitors should plan accordingly.
