Directions to Potters Ponds from the Nearest Interstate (I-70)
The closest major interstate to Potters Ponds is I-70. Here’s a direct route starting from I-70:
From I-70 (Near Salina, Utah)
1. Exit I-70 at Exit 73 (Clear Creek/Fishlake National Forest Exit).
2. Turn north onto UT-10 toward Emery. Follow UT-10 for approximately 12 miles.
3. In Emery, turn left (north) onto UT-29 and continue for 18 miles into the Manti-La Sal National Forest.
4. Turn right onto Miller Flat Road (Forest Road 0014) and continue for about 11 miles.
5. Turn right onto Potter Canyon Road (Forest Road 0015) and continue for less than a mile.
6. Potters Ponds will be on your right.
Total Driving Distance from I-70 Exit 73: ~42 miles (~1 hour drive)
Important Notes:
• Miller Flat Road is unpaved and can become rough, particularly after rain or snow. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended.
• Potters Ponds Campground offers scenic views, excellent fishing, and access to OHV trails.
